  | These pieces are midway in their lives. Beginning with layering together several of my own photographs on the computer, I came up with the composition for each. Then I sketched with stylus and some extremely light filters the darks and lights and printed them out in black and white on 5" x 7" bristol boards so I could do a small watercolour sketch-up.
I aimed to have at least one seasonal scene for each month of
the year. Watercolour, water-soluable colour-pencils and
-pastels were employed. A few were scanned at high resolution
and edited digitally resulting in unique prints somewhat
different from the original small sketches ( available up
to 20" x 30" here ).
Meanwhile some of the compositions need reworking for bigger
versions. |
